Bosch Benchmark DW

We had a Bosch DW prior. It made it 11 years, but we have very hard water here (even with the Bosch salt system).
Our new one is top of the line, and we didn't think it could be my quieter than our former 42 -dbA. But at 38 -dbA you have to put your head down, almost on the counter, to hear if it is running.
The Sanitize and Extra Dry are great features.
Bosch is expensive, but brings great engineering and value!

I recently installed a new Bosch Benchmark dishwasher. I wanted another Bosch because my prior Bosch gave 18 years of trouble free service. The Benchmark is so quiet that it is virtually silent, cleans the dishes spotlessly, dries plastics better, and is even laid out than my prior Bosch. I really like the third rack on top which is designed for silverware. No more bending over to add the stray fork, and it frees up space on the bottom rack. The controls are also much more sophisticated, with more cycle and drying choices, including a short cycle that actually gets the dishes. I loved my old Bosch, but twenty years of improvements make the Benchmark shine. It lives up to its title!

My BOSCH dishwasher is remarkable. It has different configurations you can create to wash almost any dish. The racks are adjustable to accommodate tall dishes, pots, grills, etc. I like having the silverware on the top rack because it leaves more room for larger items on the bottom rack. The touch control panel is easy to use and lights up to lets you know where the cycle is at in the cleaning process. A bonus is the quiet washing of each cycle. I feel very confident in the quality of BOSCH products and will continue to purchase products made by them.

extremely disappointed. Waited a year for this ....timing for cycles is all off. Doesn't dry as well as told. Not as easy as our top of the line Miele dishwasher to load....smaller interior. Should have bought another Miele!

This dishwasher is wonderful! What a great essential kitchen product. I especially like the water softener and the deeper racks. An added bonus is the lights on the inside top rack! What class! The front display is very convenient. It conveys the cycles as well as the finish time. Will recommend to everyone! Hope to get more Bosch products in the near future! Very pleased customer.

This recent purchase was a replacement for the prior high end Bosch diswasher and I can defenately see the evolution of the product. Aside for the improvements in the touch panel and the overall sleek looking front, the performance is a testament of the brand.... excellent. The inside racks are deeper and slide with little effort with a perfrormance that is quite, thourough and makes cleanup much easier. glassware comes our exceptionally clear and the control panel makes the process to select the correct action extremely easy. Highly recommend it to all cusotmers who recognize that a dishwaher is not a luxury it is an essential component for any kitchen.

This request from Bosch for a review is too early, our DW has been in use but a month. Quiet? Oh, yes! Quite quiet; buy it for its weird 39 dBa rating even if you don't need any of the Benchmark's advanced and automatic features. Adjustable interior? Yes! You can configure the interior to wash anything commonly found in a household kitchen; the middle rack goes up and down effortlessly; tines on all racks open and close to accommodate a wide variety of pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, cutting boards. Does it clean dishes? The normal, auto, and express cycles clean thoroughly. Those cycles, even using half load and extra dry options, function perfectly but I have not yet tried all cycles in combination with all of the numerous options. the Benchmark has lights? I thought the interior lights would be a silly extavagance but I really like this feature. However, see below.
Complaints: 1. The external display cycles too quickly; that is, you must watch carefully to observe the information you want to know. 2. After I have run about 30 cycles, the interior still smells like hot rubber. 3. The interior lights do not function, as I expected, like a fridge door: open-on, close-off. The "emotion lights" only operate if the DW is actually powered up. Come on, Bosch, that is a dumb flaw in the user interface.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Would I recommed it? Yes and no. Like a five-burner, restaurant-grade gas range (which I niether need nor want) or a built-in fridge, this is a luxury appliance. Not everyone needs this thing.
We shopped carefully and researched a long list of similar products from several manufacturers. We deliberately decided we would pay for the reduced noise level, lights, adjustability, automation, and Bosch build quaity. We also have Bosch micro, range, and laundry. Someday we will probably have a Bosch fridge.
